Inaugural concert a success!

Songs for a Snowy Evening posterThe members of the Hamilton Gay Men’s Chorus wish to thank everyone who made Saturday’s inaugural holiday concert, Songs for a Snowy Evening, a resounding success.  Special thanks to:

  • Friends, family, and co-workers, as well as members of the general public, who attended in nearly sold-out numbers!
  • Members of the following groups who sent audience members en masse:
    • Hamilton First Unitarian Seniors
    • Prime Timers Hamilton
    • Buffalo Gay Men’s Chorus
  • Forte–the Toronto Men’s Chorus for adding their unique blend of musicality, panache, and humour to the concert;
  • Rebecca McFarlane for her virtuosity on the violin;
  • The First Unitarian Church of Hamilton for the use of their facilities both for rehearsals and for the performance;
  • Charlie and her team for the delicious dinner of homemade soup and rolls;
  • Anne and her helpers for the festive decor and the post-concert reception;
  • all of the volunteers, including Brian G., Roy D., and the members of Prime Timers Hamilton, who helped the event to flow smoothly.

In addition, Lorne and Michael would like to thank the members of the chorus, as well as Tania Vroenhoven (our Music Director), for taking a chance on an unknown quantity, pouring your talent, your enthusiasm, and your hearts into a musical dream and bringing it to fruition!

It is with full hearts that we thank you all for your love and support as we move forward into our next musical adventure.  We look forward to sharing it with you!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
