Tania Sheeler, Music Director: Tania grew up in Arthur, Ontario and currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario. She completed her Bachelor of Music Education at Wilfrid Laurier University (2001), and received her Teacher’s (2002) and Performer’s (2003) ARCT with the Royal Conservatory of Music with Honours, as well as the Associate diploma (2004) with the Canadian National Conservatory of Music (CNCM). Tania is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and is employed with the Halton District School Board. She has taught piano for 20 years, adjudicated piano classes for the Drayton Music Festival and the Palmerston Music Festival, and was an examiner for CNCM. Tania directed the Hamilton Police Female Choir and has held music director positions at various churches over the last 20 years. Most recently, she served with the Hamilton Gay Men’s Chorus as Music Director (2012-2014) and accompanist (2014-15), and will resume the role of Music Director for the 2015-2016 season. Tania’s musical experience also includes serving as music director and accompanist for various Hamilton community musical theatre groups, including Hamilton Theatre Inc., Shooting Star Company and Hammer Entertainment. She plays piano, organ, guitar and bass.
